Jovana Perovska for Macedonia
This is Jovana Perovska. She is a graduate of International and European law from The Hague University of Applied Sciences, with a specialization in public international law and human rights. For the past academic year, she has been pursuing a postgraduate degree in terrorism and political violence. Her academic interests are predominantly linked to the international legal framework on armed conflicts, the regulation of cyber terrorist attacks as well as the processes of rehabilitation and reintegration of domestic fighters. Additionally, Jovana is a keen follower of the processes of EU integration of the former Yugoslav Republics.
Being someone who is very interested in diplomacy, international relations and law, Jovana has pursued two pro bono positions at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, as well as at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon. She is a keen participant in Model United Nations simulations and is one of the founding members of The Hague Model United Nations Society. Moreover, she has been actively involved in the International Law Students Association as part of the managing board.
Jovana possesses the working knowledge of five other languages besides her native Macedonian; she can fluently speak English, French, Spanish, Bulgarian and B/C/S (Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian).She is currently learning Russian and Dutch. She aspires towards a career in international policy making, but dreams of becoming a Secretary General of the United Nations.
